Reaching for a Butterfly
This sculpture depicts a skeletal hand reaching out to a butterfly that is just out of reach. It is made from cut steel sheets and balances on the metal stand connected to the bottom.
4D Box Shadow
The thesis of this project was to construct a box out of wood and use the space around it to create a sculpture. This box uses chicken wire and treated paper to create the illusion of a face from the right perspective. This is easily shown when light passes through the box. The paper represents parts of the outer-self while the origami butterfly is the inner-self escaping the chicken wire.
